Based on the background of the World Anti-Fascist War, this documentary which contains 5 Chapters shows an extraordinary experience of an American pilot Glen Beneda in China. During WWII, Glen, at age of 18, was sent to the China battlefield as a “Flying Tigers” pilot. His fighter jet was shot down by the Japanese army during one of his missions, but fortunately he was rescued by the Chinese farmers and soldiers. After nearly 60days of hard journey, he was finally escorted to US Air Base. This experience left Glen Beneda with an unforgettable attachment to Chinese people, and it led to his final journey of gratitude to China regardless of his poor health at the age of 86. He passed away shortly after the trip. This documentary reveals the emotional experience between the Chinese and the Americans, which has transcended nationality, border and ideology.
